Assigning Auto-Attendant Calling

Phone numbers can be assigned with Auto-Attendant calling assignment. In Live Platform, the uploaded number is configured as 'FirstPartyAppAssignment' and in Teams admin center 'Voice app'.

To assign Auto-Attendant phone numbers:
1. Ensure that the phone number to assign has been uploaded with Usage FirstPartyAppAssignment.

2. Login to the Teams admin center with customer tenant permissions.
3. In the Navigation pane, select Users > Manage users.
4. Verify that the user designed for phone number assignment has an 'Active' license and is Online.

5. In the Navigation pane. select Voice > Phone Numbers.
6. Select the number that you wish to assign and then click Edit. Note that the Available Usage is Voice app for Auto-attendant calling (see Upload Number dialog at the top of the page).

7. In the Navigation pane, select Resource accounts.

8. Add a new Resource account for a licensed user. The new Resource account is displayed.

9. Open the Microsoft 365 admin center and verify that the user has an Active Microsoft Teams Phone license.

10. In the Teams admin center Navigation pane, select Voice > Auto attendants.

11. Click Add to add a new Auto attendant.

12. From the Operator drop-down list, select Voice app.
13. Select the user of the Resource account that you defined above.

14. Enter name for Auto-attendant.
